I want to merge my jewelry design business with my experience as a choreographer. The Jewelry Movement Project is an experience that uses movement vocabulary to arrive at a piece of jewelry. The experience is community-based with participants contributing gestural movement that will culminate in a piece of jewelry and, perhaps, a completed work of dance. I want to create a community-based, intimate experience that results in a tangible object (piece of jewelry) that can act as a talisman, representing a memory of the ephemeral experience for the participant/wearer.
